World Cup Qualifying (CONCACAF): Team USA, El Tri, Canada, Ticos Post Thursday Wins

 The Octagonal Round of CONCACAF-regional qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup resumed on Thursday with four games.


At Independence Park, Kingston, Jamaica:


Henry Martin (81') and Ernesto Vega (83') each scored a late goal two minutes apart as Mexico came from behind to upend hosts Jamaica 2-1.



At Lower.com Field, Columbus, Ohio:

Antonee Robinson scored the only goal of the match in the 52nd minute as the United States defeated visiting El Salvador 1-0.



At Olympic Metropolitan Stadium, San Pedro Sula, Honduras:


Jonathan David scored the game winner at 73 minutes as Canada remained at the top of the Octagonal Group after their 2-0 road blanking of Honduras.




At National Stadium, San Jose, Costa Rica:


Bryan Ruiz scored the game's lone goal in the 65th minute as Costa Rica gained a critical 1-0 home win over Panama.
