In Saturday's edition of the Boca Raton Bowl, quarterback Bailey Zapped completed 33 of 47 passes for 422 yards and six touchdowns (and NO interceptions), three of them to Jerreth Sterns, as the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (9-5) overpowered the Appalachian State Hilltoppers (10-4) 59-38.
Noah Washington helped the Hilltoppers' cause by carrying the ball seven times for 150 yards and another score.
Chase Brice passed for four Mountaineer TDs before leaving the game with a leg injury as App State suffered their first defeat in seven bowl games at the FBS level.
