Beavers Drop Conference Opener At Berkeley As OSU's Losing Skid Reaches Seven Games

In Thursday's Pac-12 Conference opener for both schools, Jordan Shepherd scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Andre Kelly added 20 and 13 in those respective categories as the California Golden Bears (4-4 overall, 1-0 in Pac-12 play) held off the slumping Oregon State Beavers (1-7, 0-1) 73-61 at home.

Warith Alatishe topped the Beavers with 21 points while pulling down eight boards.
