UEFA Champions League, Group F: Red Devils Punch Ticket To Knockout Stage; Deadlock Between Young Boys And Atalanta

 Action in Group F of the UEFA Champions League continued on Tuesday with two games.


At Villarreal, Spain:


Cristiano Ronaldo (78') and Jadon Sancho (90') each scored once as Manchester United locked up a knockout-stage berth after blanking Villarreal 2-0 on the road.


It was a successful debut for Red Devils' interim manager Michael Carrick, who recently replaced the fired Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.


At Bern, Switzerland:


Duvan Zapata (10'), Jose Palomino (51'), and Luis Muriel (88') each scored once to help Atalanta gain a 3-3 road draw with BSC Young Boys.


Jordan Pefok (39'), Vincent Sierro (80'), and Silvan Hefti (84') each scored once for the hosts, who were eliminated from the tournament.
