Goals from Matko Miljevic (33') and Sunusi (90'+5) lifted CF Montreal to a 2-2 home draw with the Philadelphia Union.
James Pantemis (OG-63') and Kai Wagner (77') produced the Union's tallies.
At Los Angeles:
Cristian Arango scored twice (PK-28', 88') as the Los Angeles Football Club held off the visiting San Jose Earthquakes 3-1.
At Columbus, Ohio:
Gyasi Zardes scored twice (39', 64') as the Columbus Crew demolished visiting Inter Miami 4-0 as the Herons were blanked for the fourth consecutive match as the visitors are all but eliminated from playoff contention.
At Foxborough, Massachusetts:
Alvaro Medran (49') and Ignacio Aliseda (88') each scored once to carry the Chicago Fire to a 2-2 road deadlock with the playoff-bound New England Revolution.
The draw was not good enough to prevent Chicago from being eliminated from playoff contention.
Wilfrid Kaptoum (47') and Gustavo Bou (76') each scored once for the Revs.
At Cincinnati:
Junior Urso scored the only goal of the match in the 13th minute as Orlando City stretched FC Cincinnati's losing streak to seven games with a 1-0 road triumph.
At Washington:
DC United and visiting Nashville battled to a 0-0 stalemate.
At Toronto:
Luis Araujo (45'+2) and Marcelino Moreno (90'+7) delivered the goals as Atlanta United continued their quest of a playoff berth by officially ending FC Toronto's postseason chances 2-0 on the road.
At Houston:
Darwin Quintero scored the winning goal in the 20th minute as the Houston Dynamo knocked off the visiting Seattle Sounders 2-1.
At Austin, Texas:
Franco Fragapane scored the game's lone goal in the 16th minute as Minnesota United defeated Austin FC 1-0 on the road, officially eliminating the hosts from playoff contention.
At Sandy, Utah:
Damir Kreilach scored a goal (13') and assisted on two others (Rubio Rubin's in the 57th minute and Anderson Julio's in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time) as Real Salt Lake downed the visiting Colorado Rapids 3-1.
At Carson, California:
Sacha Kljestan converted a second-half stoppage-time penalty kick (90'+2) for the winning goal as the Los Angeles Galaxy ended the Portland Timbers winning (four games) and unbeaten (eight games) streaks 2-1 at home.
