MLS: Sunday Wins For Fire, Herons, Revs, Quakes, DC (All At Home By 2-1 Counts); Galaxy And Caps Draw In Carson

Six games were contested on Sunday in Major League Soccer.


At Chicago:


Luka Stojanovic scored twice (2', 8') in the first ten minutes as the Chicago Fire held off the visiting New York Red Bulls 2-1.


At Fort Lauderdale, Florida:


Indiana Vallilev delivered the game-winning goal at the death (90'+5) as Inter Miami knocked off visiting Nashville 2-1.


At Foxborough, Massachusetts:


Matt Polster (10') and Gustavo Bou (PK-39') each scored once as the New England Revolution topped the visiting Philadelphia Union 2-1.


At San Jose, California:


S.J. Nathan (11') and Javier Lopez (28') each scored once as the San Jose Earthquakes held off the visiting Los Angeles Football Club 2-1.


At Washington:


Ola Kamara scored the game winner in the 54th minute as DC United held off visiting Montreal 2-1.


Andy Najar scored his first goal for the victors since September 29, 2011 in the 40th minute.


At Carson, California:


In the only Sunday match not to end in a 2-1 score, Ranko Veselinovic's equalizer in the 50th minute carried the Vancouver Whitecaps to a 1-1 road draw with the Los Angeles Galaxy.


Kevin Cabral scored at 32 minutes for the hosts.
