Joao Morelli converted a penalty kick in the 72nd minute for the game-winning goal as HFX Wanderers (Canadian Premier League) outlasted visiting AS Blainville (Quebec Premier Soccer League) 2-1.
Saturday, August 21:

Julian Ulbricht (PK-85'), (90'+1) scored twice to complete the Canadian Premier League's York United's 5-0 home demolition of Master's FA from League 1 Ontario.
At Ottawa, Ontario:
Austin Ricci scored twice (60', 63') as Valour FC knocked off Atletico Ottawa 3-2 on the road in a battle of CPL clubs.
The preliminary round is set to conclude on Thursday as Pacific FC of the Canadian Premier League is set to host the Vancouver Whitecaps of Major League Soccer at 7:00 PM Pacific Time
