NBA Playoffs: Giannis-Less Bucks Top Hawks, Find Themselves One Win Away From First Finals Since 1974

 At Milwaukee:


Brook Lopez scored 33 points while Khris Middleton added 26 (to go with his 13 rebounds), Jrue Holiday 25 (to go with his 13 assists), and Bobby Portis 22 (to go with eight rebounds) as the Milwaukee Bucks, playing minus the injured Giannis Antetokounmpg, defeated the visiting Atlanta Hawks 123-112 on Thursday in game five of the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals.


Bogdan Bogdanovic topped the Hawks with 28 points while John Collins added 19 while grabbing eight rebounds.


Atlanta was playing without the injured Trae Young.


The Bucks, now up three games to one, can close out the series and advance to their first NBA Finals since 1974 on Saturday with a game-six victory in Atlanta (5:30 PM Pacific Time, TNT).
