FC Cincinnati and visiting, nine-man DC United battled to a 0-0 stalemate.
At Fort Lauderdale, Florida:
Gonzalo Higuain scored twice (PK-49', 69') as Inter Miami came from behind to upend visiting CF Montreal 2-1.
At Houston:
The Houston Dynamo and visiting Real Salt Lake battled to a 0-0 deadlock.
At Kansas City, Kansas:
Paxton Pomykal (3') and Jesus Ferreira (51') each delivered a goal as FC Dallas knocked off Sporting Kansas City 2-1 on the road.
At Austin, Texas:
Andre Shinyashiki scored the game's lone goal in the 29th minute as the Colorado Rapids defeated struggling Austin FC 1-0 on the road.
At Sandy, Utah (due to ongoing COVID-related travel restrictions between the United States and Canada):
Cristian Dajome scored twice (36', PK-90'+4) as the Vancouver Whitecaps, in their final "home" game before returning to Canada, gained a 2-2 draw with Minnesota United.
Ethan Finlay (45') and Robin Lod (75') each scored once for the Loons, unbeaten in eleven of their last 12 games.
