Stanley Cup Playoffs: Lightning Blank Islanders To Win Semifinal Series, Will Face Habs For Lord Stanley's Cup

 At Tampa, Florida:

Yanni Gourde's shorthanded goal in the second period was the only score of the game while Andrei Vashilevskiy saved all 18 shots on Friday night as the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the visiting New York Islanders 1-0 in game seven of their Stanley Cup semifinal playoff series and took out the Long Islanders four games to three to advance to their second straight Stanley Cup Final.

Semyon Varlamov was the tough luck loser for the Islanders as he saved 30 of 31 shots.

The Lightning will look to make it back-to-back Stanley Cup championships as they face the Montreal Canadiens in the Final, set to open in Tampa on Monday (5:00 PM Pacific Time, NBCSN).
