Stanley Cup Playoffs: Lightning One Win Away From Ousting 'Canes; Islanders Level Series With Bruins At 2-2

 The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Saturday with two games.


CENTRAL DIVISION FINAL:


At Tampa, Florida:


Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov each scored twice (with one of Mr. Stamkos' goals coming on the power play) as the Tampa Bay Lightning outlasted the visiting Carolina Hurricanes 6-4 in game four of their divisional final series.


The Lightning can close out the series and advance to the semifinal round of the playoffs with a game-five victory in Raleigh on Tuesday (3:30 PM Pacific Time, NBCSN).



EAST DIVISION FINAL:


At Uniondale, New York:


Kyle Palmieri, Matthew Barzai, Casey Cizikas (empty net), and Jean-Gabriel Pageau (empty net) each scored once while Semyon Varlomov stopped 28 of 29 shots as the New York Islanders leveled their series with the Boston Bruins at two games apiece following their 4-1 game-four home victory.
