Two games were contested in the NBA Playoffs on Friday.
EASTERN CONFERENCE:
At Atlanta:
Joel Embiid scored 27 points (to go with his nine rebounds and eight assists) while Tobias Harris added 22 (to go with his eight rebounds) as the Philadelphia 76ers regained home-court advantage with a 127-111 road victory in game three of their conference semifinal series with the Atlanta Hawks.
The 76ers now lead the series two games to one.
Trae Young scored 28 points to lead the Hawks while John Collins added 22 to the Atlanta coffers.
WESTERN CONFERENCE:
At Denver:
Devin Booker scored 28 points while Chris Paul added 27 (to go with his ten assists) as the Phoenix Suns, with all five starters scoring in double figures, outlasted the Denver Nuggets 116-102 in game three of their conference semifinal series.
Nikola Jokic topped the Nuggets with 32 points (to go with his 20 rebounds and 10 assists) while Monte Morris scored 21 off the bench.
The Suns, now up three games to none, can lock up a berth in the Western Conference Final (their first such appearance since 2010) with a game-four victory in Denver (5:00 PM Pacific Time on Sunday, TNT).
