The NBA Playoffs are set to continue on Wednesday with two games, both airing on TNT.
EASTERN CONFERENCE:
At Philadelphia:
Trae Young scored 39 points as the Atlanta Hawks erased a 26-point deficit and upended the homestanding Philadelphia 76ers 109-106 in game five of their conference semifinal series.
Joel Embiid (who grabbed 13 rebounds) and Seth Curry topped the Sixers with 37 and 36 points respectively.
The Hawks, now up three games to two, can close out the series with a home victory back in Atlanta on Friday (4:30 PM Pacific Time, ESPN); they would advance to their first conference final since 2015.
WESTERN CONFERENCE:
At Salt Lake City, Utah:
Paul George scored 40 points and grabbed 16 points as the Los Angeles Clippers, minus the injured Kawhi Leonard, knocked off the Utah Jazz 119-111 on the road to seize a three-games-to-two conference semifinal series advantage.
Marcus Morris and Reggie Jackson added 25 and 22 points, respectively, to the Clippers' coffers.
Bogdan Bogdanovic paced the Jazz with 32 points while Donovan Mitchell added 21 to top the Jazz, who had six players, including all five starters, scoring in double figures.
The Clippers can close out the series and advance to the first conference final in their 51-year history with a game-six victory back home in Los Angeles on Friday (7:00 PM Pacific Time, ESPN).
