TEAM USA KNOCKS OFF EL TRI IN OT THRILLER FOR CONCACAF NATIONS LEAGUE TITLE

 At Empower Field at Mile High, Denver, Colorado:



In Sunday's championship game of the inaugural CONCACAF Nations League, Giovanni Reyna (27'), Weston McKennie (82'), and Christian Pulisic (PK-114') each scored once while backup goalkeeper Ethan Horvath saved Andres Guardado's penalty kick during second-overtime-period stoppage time (120'+4, shown here) as the United States battled back from two one-goal deficits and upended Mexico 3-2 in overtime to capture the crown.


Jesus Corona (2') and Diego Lainez (79') each scored once for El Tri.
