At Dragon Stadium, Porto, Portugal (transferred from Istanbul, Turkey due to Turkey's COVID-related travel restrictions):
Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the match in the 42nd minute on Saturday as Chelsea won their second UEFA Champions League title (first since 2012) by defeating fellow English Premier League club Manchester City 1-0.
The Blues' Christian Pulisic came into the game as a substitute in the second half, thus becoming the first American to play in a Champions League final and became, naturally, the first American to play on a European club championship club.
The Blues will take on Europa League winners Villarreal in this year's UEFA Super Cup contest at Belfast, Northern Ireland on August 11 and will play in December's FIFA Club World Cup in Japan.
