Federico Vinas scored twice (21', PK-59') and Leonardo Suarez once (70') on Wednesday night as Club America defeated the visiting Portland Timbers 3-1 in game two of their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal-round series and won their series 4-2 on aggregate.
Diego Valeri converted a penalty kick in the 65th minute for the lone Timbers goal (his 98th career tally in all competitions for Portland).
The Timbers will return to Major League Soccer action on Sunday when they host the Seattle Sounders in a Cascadia Cup clash ( 12:00 Noon Pacific Time, ABC/ESPN Deportes)
