At Portland, Oregon:
Raul Ruidiaz (PK-63') and Fredy Montero (79') each scored once on Sunday as the Seattle Sounders upended the Portland Timbers 2-1 on the road in a Mother's Day Cascadia Cup clash which saw Portland's Diego Valeri fail on two penalty-kick attempts just before the end of the first hour.
Bill Tuiloma scored the lone Timbers goal at the death (90'+4).
The Timbers, who have now gone winless in their last four games in all competitions, will visit the San Jose Earthquakes this coming Saturday at 7:00 PM Pacific Time (Timbers TV Network via KPDX-TV, Portland-Vancouver/ESPN+).
