Stanley Cup Playoffs: Bruins, Avalanche One Victory Away From Advancing; Predators Cut Canes' Series Lead To 2-1; Jets Up 2-0 Over Oilers After Another Victory In Edmonton

 Four games took place on Friday as the Stanley Cup Playoffs continued.


CENTRAL DIVISION:


At Nashville, Tennessee:


Matt Duchene scored the winning goal at 14:54 of the second overtime period as the Nashville Predators defeated the visiting Carolina Hurricanes 5-4 in game three of their divisional semifinal series, cutting the Canes' series lead to two games to one.



EAST DIVISION:


At Boston:


Brad Marchand, David Pastnak, and Matt Grzelcyk each scored a power-play goal as the Boston Bruins downed the visiting Washington Capitals 4-1 in game four of their divisional semifinal series.


The Bruins, now up three games to one, can close out the Caps with a game-five victory in Washington on Sunday (4:00 PM Pacific Time, USA Network).     



NORTH DIVISION:


At Edmonton, Alberta:


Paul Stastny's goal at 4:06 of overtime stretched the Winnipeg Jets' series advantage over the Edmonton Oilers to two games to none after their 1-0 game-two road victory.




WEST DIVISION:


At St. Louis:


Ryan Graves, Alex Newhook, and Tyson Jost each scored a second-period goal as the Colorado Avalanche rolled over the St. Louis Blues 5-1 on the road in game three of their divisional playoff series.


The Avalanche can complete a four-game series sweep by taking game four at St. Louis on Sunday (2:00 PM Pacific Time, NBCSN).
