EAST DIVISION:
At Uniondale, New York:
Jeff Carter scored twice (once on the power play) as the Pittsburgh Penguins held off the New York Islanders 5-4 on the road in game three of their series, which the Penguins now hold a two-games-to-one advantage.
NORTH DIVISION:
At Toronto:
Josh Anderson and Paul Byron (shorthanded) each scored once while Carey Price stopped 35 of 36 shots as the Montreal Canadiens opened the last first-round series to commence by knocking off the Toronto Maple Leafs 2-1 on the road.
WEST DIVISION:
At St. Paul, Minnesota:
Mark Stone scored twice (once on an empty netter) as the Vegas Golden Knights fell behind 2-0, then scored five unanswered goals to upend the Minnesota Wild 5-2 on the road in game three and regained home-ice advantage in their divisional semifinal series, which they now lead two games to one.
