NBA Playoffs: Celts, Clips Get First Wins Of Respective Series; Hawks Take 2-1 Advantage Over Knicks

 The NBA Playoffs continued with three games on Friday.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:


At Atlanta:


Trey Young scored 21 points and dished out 14 assists as the Atlanta Hawks downed the visiting New York Knicks 105-94 in game three of their conference quarterfinal series, which the Hawks, with seven players (including all five starters) scoring in double figures.


Derrick Rose topped the Knicks with 30 points.



At Boston:


Jayson Tatum scored a career playoff high 50 points while Marcus Smart added 23 as the Boston Celtics held off the visiting Brooklyn Nets 125-119 in game three of their series.


James Harden scored 41 points (while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out 10 assists) while Kevin Durant added 39 (to go with his nine rebounds) to pace the Nets, who still lead two games to one.




WESTERN CONFERENCE:


At Dallas:


Kawhi Leonard scored 36 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the Los Angeles Clippers cut the Dallas Mavericks' series lead to two games to one after their 118-108 game-three road triumph.


Paul George added 29 points to the Clippers' coffers.


Luka Doncic top the Mavs with 44 points while grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out nine assists.
