MLS: Saturday Wins For Galaxy, Five Stripes, Philly, Loons, Timbers

 Eight games were contested in Major League Soccer on Saturday.


At New York:


Jacob Shaffelburg's equalizer in the 74th minute carried Toronto FC to a 1-1 road draw with New York City.


Jesus Medina scored for the CityZens at 53 minutes.


At Carson, California:


Sebastian Lletget (35') and Javier Chicharito Hernandez (77') each scored once as the Los Angeles Galaxy blanked visiting Austin FC 2-0.


The expansionists have now been blanked in the Los Angeles metropolitan area by 2-0 scores in both games against the Los Angeles clubs.


At Atlanta:


Marcelino Moreno's goal at the death (90'+4) carried Atlanta United past visiting CF Montreal 1-0.


At Chester, Pennsylvania:


Cory Burke's goal in the ninth minute held up as the Philadelphia Union downed the visiting New York  Red Bulls 1-0.


At St. Paul, Minnesota:


Robin Lod's goal deep into second-half stoppage time (90'+4) as Minnesota United upended visiting FC Dallas 1-0.


At Commerce City, Colorado:


Diego Rubio scored the game winner in the 36th minute as the Colorado Rapids held off the visiting Houston Dynamo 3-1.


At Sandy, Utah:


In the first-ever meeting between the two clubs, Real Salt Lake and visiting Nashville battled to a 0-0 deadlock.


At San Jose, California:


Yimmi Chara (5') and Marvin Loria (74') each scored once as the Portland Timbers blanked the San Jose Earthquakes 2-0 on the road.


Goalkeeper Logan Ketterer, acquired just days earlier on loan from El Paso of the USL Championship, made a key save in the 62nd minute on Chris Wondolowski's penalty kick.
