Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament: Sun Devils (Who Get Ducks Next), Utes, Bears Advance To Quarterfinals

 At T-Mobile Arena, Paradise, Nevada:


Three games  were contested in the opening round of the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament on Wednesday.


Game #1:


Alonzo Verge, Jr. scored 26 points as the eighth-seeded Arizona State Sun Devils (11-13) held off the ninth-seeded Washington State Cougars (14-13) 64-59.


Isaac Bonton led four Cougars who scored in double figures with 19 points.


Game #2:


Timmy Allen scored 24 points (while grabbing eleven rebounds) while Alfonso Plummer added 21 as the seventh-seeded Utah Runnin' Utes (12-12), with six players, including all five starters, scoring in double figures, nosed out the Washington Huskies (5-21) 98-95.


Quade Green paced the tenth-seeded Huskies with 31 points.


Game #3:


Matt Bradley came off the bench to score 19 points as the #11-seeded California Golden Bears (9-19) knocked off the sixth-seeded Stanford Cardinal (14-13) 76-58.
