Both games in the quarterfinal round of the FIFA Club World Cup took place on Wednesday at Al Rayyan, Qatar.
At Ahmed bin Ali Stadium:
Andre-Pierre Gignac scored twice (38', PK-45'+5) as Mexico's Tigres (representing CONCACAF) defeated South Korea's Ulsan Hyundai (representing Asia) 2-1.
At Education City Stadium:
Hussein El Shahat scored the game's lone goal in the 30th minute as Egypt's Al-Ahly, representing Africa, defeated the host country's Al-Duhail (who had advanced to this round by default after their scheduled opponent, New Zealand's Auckland City, representing Oceania, bowed out due to COVID-19 issues) 1-0.
