BAYERN HOLD OFF TIGRES FOR FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP TITLE

 At Education City Stadium, Al Rayyan, Qatar:



Benjamin Pavard scored the only goal of the match in the 59th minute on Thursday as Bayern Munich won their second FIFA Club World Cup championship and their fourth world title overall, defeating Mexico's Tigres 1-0.

Earlier on Thursday, also at Education City Stadium, after a scored less 90 minutes of regulation, and with overtime dispensed with, Badr Benoun, Mohamed Hany, and Junior Ajayi each converted a spot kick as Egypt's Al-Ahly defeated Brazil's Palmeiras 3-2 in the penalty-kick shootout.


Two of the Brazilian club's spot kicks in the shootout were saved by Al-Ahly's Mohamed El Shenaway.
