The 2020-21 National Football League Playoffs opened on Saturday with three games.
AMERICAN FOOTBALL CONFERENCE:
At Orchard Park, New York:
Quarterback Josh Allen completed 26 of 35 passes for 324 yards and a pair of touchdowns (while running for 54 yards and another score) as the Buffalo Bills won a playoff game for the first time since 1995 by holding off the visiting Indianapolis Colts 27-24.
NATIONAL FOOTBALL CONFERENCE:
At Seattle:
Running back Cam Akers ran for 131 yards and a touchdown while quarterback Jared Goff threw for 155 yards and another score as the Los Angeles Rams knocked off the Seattle Seahawks 30-20 on the road.
Defensive back Darious Williams ran back an intercepted Russell Wilson pass 42 yards for still another score.
At Landover, Maryland:
Quarterback Tom Brady threw for 381 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Leonard Fournette ran for 93 yards and another score as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers downed the Artists Formerly Known as the Washington Redskins 31-23 on the road.
It was the Bucs' first playoff victory since their beatdown of the then-Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII (that was in 2003).
